Rutgers University conducted a survey of voters in 2013 and 2014 to determine their opinions of the ranked choice voting ballot.
- 90% of respondents to the 2013 survey stated that they found the ranked choice voting ballot easy to understand.
- 89% of respondents in the 2014 survey stated that they found the ranked choice voting ballot easy to understand.
Voters have little to no errors with ranked choice ballots.
- In the 2013 ranked choice voting elections in Minneapolis more than 99% of voters cast a valid ballot.
- Oakland and San Francisco also had 99% valid ballots using ranked choice voting.
